Thrive Consulting Collective

The operator
behind Thrive.

Most consultants advising clinician-owned practices have never run one. I have — two locations, four service lines, and the membership models underneath them. This is what that means for your practice.

The short version.

Natalie Mason is a fractional chief operating officer and the founder of Thrive Consulting Collective. She has built and operated multiple practices and businesses, most notably co-owning a multi-service clinician-owned practice spanning behavioral health, MedSpa, and concierge mobile wound care. Before founding Thrive she spent years inside Fortune 500 operations across revenue operations, sales management, and learning and development.

She works with clinician-owned practices on the operational layer — systems, workflows, decision rights, and the structure that decides whether a growing practice holds together.

What I actually built.

I co-owned and operated a multi-service clinician-owned practice across two locations. Not advised on it. Ran it.

Behavioral health. MedSpa. Concierge mobile wound care. Recovery and longevity. I built the wound care and MedSpa service lines from nothing — pricing, protocols, staffing, inventory, and the part nobody writes about, which is what happens when the model on the spreadsheet meets the schedule in practice.

I also built the membership models. Not one — several. In-house at the practice for some service lines, concierge in-home for others, depending on how the care was actually delivered. Each carried different economics and a different structure, against one back office holding all of it.

Which is where most of what I know came from. Not the strategy. The month after the strategy.

Before that.

Years inside Fortune 500 operations — revenue operations, sales management, learning and development. Which is a long way from a MedSpa treatment room, and turned out to be the most useful preparation for it.

Large organizations are not smarter than small ones. They are simply forced to write things down, define who decides what, and measure whether it worked — because at that size nothing survives on one person remembering. Small practices get to skip all of it, right up until they can't.

Seeing how world-class operations actually run is what makes the gap visible in a practice doing $800,000 a year. It is the same gap. It is just cheaper to ignore for longer.

Why Thrive exists.

Clinicians and wellness operators deserve better than generic business advice.

Most consultants advising practices have never run one. They have never navigated the intersection of compliance, billing complexity, staff culture, and growth strategy that defines an owner's day-to-day. They hand over a slide deck and leave.

I'm not interested in that work. I'm interested in being in the operation — building the systems alongside your team, and being accountable for whether they hold.

How I work.

Operator, not coach. This is structural, not motivational. If your team is capable and your processes are undocumented, mindset is not the constraint.

Every engagement starts with the Thrive Operating Review — six weeks inside the operation before anyone commits to anything longer. I don't quote ongoing work before I understand the business, which means I occasionally talk people out of hiring me.

And when there's an ongoing engagement, which one you need comes down to a single question: who is going to do the building?

Where the line sits.

Clinical decisions stay with you and your providers. Legal and structural questions — medical direction, delegation, ownership structure — belong to your healthcare attorney, and I'll say so rather than guess.

Thrive does not access or handle protected health information. Operational review covers process and workflow; reporting is aggregate and de-identified.
